If you are looking for a fun way to get involved with local activities while serving the community, please consider joining us! We are always looking to welcome new runners to Team Hoyt VB. If you would like to be an active member of the team and would like to push a rider athlete, we require certain steps to protect our riders. In our efforts to protect the integrity and safety of our Team Hoyt family, we do not allow individuals who have been convicted of certain crimes - or who have been registered with Child Protective Services as child abusers - to join our Team or represent the Hoyt name in the community. If you meet the above qualifications and want to run with us, please fill out and submit the following forms:

Once you are a part of the team, simply CHOOSE YOUR RACES that you would like to participate in, and let us know via the links and information on our event calendar page. That's it!

TEAM HOYT VB RUNNING REQUIREMENTS:
- For youth runners under the age of 18, please see the section below this titled, "Team Hoyt VB Youth Runner requirements." Adult runners, please continue.
- Please click on the link for the Child Protective Services background check above and follow the instructions on the form to submit. To ensure the results are returned directly to Team Hoyt VB Legal, please ensure the top of the form matches this CPS Example exactly. There is a $10 fee associated with this process, please follow the form's instructions to submit payment.
- Please click on the link for the Criminal/Sex Offender Registry check above. This is an electronic form that will be submitted directly to the State Police with the results returned by the State Police directly to Team Hoyt VB Legal. To ensure appropriate processing, please follow the example HERE. NOTE: If you have filled this form out correctly, the fee should be $16, as Team Hoyt VB is a non-profit organization.
- Download and sign, or E-sign, the Waiver/Release link above. Please email the signed waiver to Bretta Z. Lewis, legal counsel for Team Hoyt VB, at BLewis@wolriv.com, AND her assistant, Faith Powell, at Powell@wolriv.com. If you do not have access to email, please fax the signed waiver to (757) 491-6260.
- After you've submitted your background checks, please reserve your jersey by emailing your full name, your signed waiver (again), your contact information, and jersey size to thvbracedirector@gmail.com. Please specify the email address you'd like added to our distribution list so we can send you information about events and make sure you have race day instructions. Lastly, please send $50 for your jersey via this registration button:

- Once you've submitted the background check, waiver, and reserved your jersey, come on out to a race to meet the Team and run the race. You'll be accompanied with a seasoned runner who can answer any of your race day questions. After the background checks are clear, and you're comfortable, we'll pair you up with a rider athlete and you'll be off to the races! Find our next upcoming races on our Events Calendar.
